Fritz ticking Clock sound

Answer

How can I turn off the ticking clock that starts when my turn begins while playing against the computer?

The ticking clock sound is a "Board sound" so if board sounds are enabled, you will hear the ticking, along with the other sounds.

The best solution is to rename the relevant sound files. On my system, they are found here: C:\Program Files\ChessBase\Sounds\Board

Rename the files.  For example, tick.mp3 to tick.mp3.off, or something like that.  If you don't display file extensions on your setup, change the file "tick" to "tick off" or anything. You could also delete the files, that will work too.  But then you won't be able to turn the ticking back on without replacing those files.
